OVERVIEW

Mera Peak Climbing is a trekking adventure that takes you to the top of the highest trekking peak in Nepal, which is Mera Peak (6,461m/21,190ft). The best times to climb the mountain are during the spring and autumn seasons when you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Himalayan Vista. From the summit, you can see five 8,000-m peaks, including Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Makalu, and Kanchenjunga.

Kantipur Holidays is a company that organizes various peak climbing adventures in Nepal, including Mera Peak climbing. Their itinerary is designed with a steady ascent and a day set aside for acclimatization in Khare. They take a longer route that passes through the beautiful Hinku Valley and quaint villages, giving you a glimpse into the local culture. This route is better for acclimatization and allows you to enjoy the Nepalese wilderness.

Mera Peak climbing is a good option for those with moderate mountaineering experience. Although it is a challenging trekking peak due to its elevation, the technical mountaineering skills required are very basic. Additionally, the seasoned Sherpa guide from Kantipur Holidays will provide you with basic mountaineering training before the actual summit.
