This leisurely tour begins with a formal introduction by your guide. Meet your guide in central Kathmandu, where you will choose your mountain bike and safety equipment for your half-day tour. Next, hop on your bike and follow your experienced guide to Chobar village. A timeless and picturesque town lined with ancient stone buildings, perched on the green hills above the Chobar Valley. According to legend, this gorge was created when Manjushree Bodhisattva carved through the hills with his mighty sword. In doing so, the primordial lake was drained and the Kathmandu Valley was formed. This area has a suspension bridge that crosses the gorge. Below is the Bagmati River, where ablutions and cremations are sometimes performed.

We leave Chobar and continue hiking to the historic town of Kirtipur, one of the oldest parts of the Kathmandu Valley. Perched on a mountain ridge with the Himalayas in the background, Kirtipur welcomes visitors with a timeless atmosphere. Many of the town's residents are weavers. You might spot dyed threads hanging from a window or hear the clank of a loom. Additionally, take a tour of the village and get a glimpse of Kirtipur's ancient temples, architecture, and handicrafts.
