Voss
Voss is a paraglider's paradise and one of the best places for paragliding in western Norway and Norway. The reason for that is due to the following considerations: A mountain gondola that takes you to the top of the mountain (820 m.a.s.l.)

Alvdal - Flattron
Good starting conditions even with a lot of wind (exceptionally laminar). This is probably one of Norway's best takeoffs, especially for hang gliders. Great mountain ridge you can fly hang on, the thermal bubbles are large and calm with a lot of lift and this is a good starting distances point.
Aurland
Aurland is perhaps one of Norway's most beautiful takeoffs. Many clubs hold SIV courses here several times a year. From the main Launch, it is common to take off on westerly winds towards the Aurlandsfjord.
